Utility Accounting
Complete utility cost monitoring and savings documentation are provided.
We analyze your monthly utility bills and submit reports comparing current use to previous year(s). Monthly, quarterly and/or year-end summaries may be provided that will track the progress of your district's energy conservation program. To develop the baseline for comparison, we input one or two years of historical data. This is included in the start-up fee.
We offer three levels of ongoing utility tracking:
Basic: This basic service provides an annual report that illustrates utility costs and use for electrical, gas, water and heating oil. In addition, a comprehensive bill review will document errors, estimates, and pinpoint dramatic patterns. Formal presentation of the information is provided at no additional charge (Maximum of two presentations per year). We also will prepare the annual Fuel and Electric Reports for submission to the State. All expenses are included as part of this proposal.
Level 2 : Provides the above report and bill review quarterly.
Level 3: Provides the above report and bill review monthly. In addition, all energy use is compared to the baseline and percentage change is calculated for each building and for the district as a whole. Data is compiled and submitted to the DOE's Energy Star Program that ranks schools nationwide and works toward earning Energy Star certification. Reports may be accessed online free of charge.
District personnel are responsible for submitting utility bills to us monthly, unless we can arrange third-party billing with the utility.
We have a lot of flexibility to provide you with the information you require, just ask us.
